Unanswered Question: Why do we keep lying to ourselves?

I saw a post and only read two lines of the poem.
The image of George Floyd was clearly displayed at the top of the page.
The poem spoke of “slave ships”.
That was enough for me.
The death of George Floyd was tragic on so many levels but the stubborn adherence to the idea that it had anything to with race is absurd. What that mindset does is perpetuate a myth, a political flashpoint, and a lie.
Derrick Shovan was a terrible, barbaric, man and cop.
George Floyd was a drug addict, repeat criminal, and misguided soul.
We could investigate all day long the ‘whats and whys’ that made them each that way, but that’s not the point.
Something terribly tragic happened and we’re not placing the blame on ‘what happened next’ where it belongs.
Both men had culpability in the route they took to that place and time of Floyd’s death, yet their race wasn’t deemed, even in court, as having an influence.
So, why do we keep lying to ourselves?
Why is George Floyd a folk hero?
How does his life and death have anything to do with slave ships?
Derrick and George were already known to each other.
No ‘hate crime’ allegation was pursued in Derrick’s trial. Because race was NOT a factor. (He was a real ‘rotten egg’ and got what he deserved.)
Race hustlers came rushing out of the woodwork, though. Some for financial gain (BLM organizers) and others for political leverage (BLM self-proclaimed Marxists, among others). Both types should have been recognized as and declared opportunists immediately.
That’s why the riots, marches, and continued mythology over George Floyd are so baffling and IMHO are symptomatic of even darker ills than a would-be individual act of racism.
Those most desperate ubiquitous illnesses are victimhood, ignorance, and-bias inspired- gullibility.
The clear perpetrators of those crippling diseases are the media, our educational system, and political activists. If you want something ‘real‘ to be outraged about, their accountability isn’t even going to be EVER considered. The avoidable death and destruction in the aftermath will go on being falsely labeled a noble crusade. Instead, the misnomer of “systematic racism” (in this specific case) will continue to destroy our harmony, unity, and sense of justice. We will therefore go on being victimized and consumed by ‘lies’, half-truths, and narrative manipulations, until the nefarious goal of dehumanizing and dividing our country for the purpose of totalitarian control, is achieved.
Don’t play a role in it by not getting your facts straight.

Choose Hope

Choices aren’t easy
Choices aren’t fair
Choices aren’t frequent
Most aren’t even there.

To homeschool expensive
Taxation is theft
Buy groceries or donate
No choices are left

Illegals who work
Are modern day slaves
There’s no one to tell
If the boss misbehaves

Parents need money
To cover the home
No choice to raise children
Instead let them roam

Speaking makes trouble
Voting unsound
No power or leverage
When corruptions abound

There’s little to choose from
No need to complain
Elites are not worried
Your choice their disdain.

There’s one thing remaining
One choice every day
Look up to our Maker
And learn how to pray

The best source of choices
Is believing there’s hope
Evil has no power
Once the meek learn to cope

Just existing is useless
Free people must thrive
With faith now our weapon
True choice we revive.

Six Sentence Story- China, Communism, and Political Conformity

PROMPT WORD:  CENTER

In 1966, Mao Zedong founder and chair of the Chinese Communist Party, initiated The Cultural Revolution specific to ridding any evidence of Capitalism, former Chinese cultural norms, and all resistance to his goal of complete government control.

The population was immediately divided against itself while young people were educated with the ‘Party’ ideology and encouraged to knock down historical statues and intimidate (with force) anyone who objected.

The Chinese people thus became slaves to constant fear and eagerly ‘turned in’ their neighbors, family, and friends to government officials who immediately made -those merely accused- repeatedly confess and apologize for, ‘thought crimes’ against the regime until they exhibited the ‘proper brain-washing’.

Laogai (prisons) were set up for ‘troublemakers’ ( free-thinkers) where re-education was claimed to take place but starvation, torture, and hard labor took the lives of more than 20 million people over the entire movement.

At the center of all this, private property, personal choice, and human dignity, were eliminated due to communism (its gateway drug is socialism) as the Chinese Communist Party remains in power to this day with about one million enslaved political and religious prisoners.

NIKE manufacturing in China uses Uighur slave labor to make their shoes, Disney and most of Hollywood take direction on content from China, and many wealthy, politically powerful people, promote Communist China’s propaganda at prestigious universities and in media throughout the World … I thought you should know.

Stand and Be Counted

I am a white American. My family history goes back to the American Revolution on one side and Early 20th Century immigration on the other.

I am tired of being blamed for slavery. I would help anyone without regard for their race,or sexual orientation. I love my country and our people.

I am one of many who refuses to be intimidated by accusations of racism and bias. I listen to Fox News ,as well as ,CNN and MSNBC. No one is 100% right or wrong but we are trying to make our nation live up to its promises of freedom and liberty.

I do not think the way to the future is big government who cares for those who will not try. All great ideas have their short comings. Welfare, social security and even FEMA are used and abused.

I do not believe our forefathers intended us to fight with each other or to accuse any citizens of unpatriotic behavior.

I do know that I am tired of supporting the lazy and their offspring.

Ashamed of those who believe we are an evil nation.

Proud of all who speak their mind without name calling.

I have been accused of being naive more than once but I believe in the American people and their votes will be counted in 2012.
