I’m perplexed by the ‘otherwise intelligent’ people that I know who can’t or won’t wrap their heads around the purposeful active destruction of our country.
I accept the claim that I may think ‘too much’ about this specific topic but there are an awfully large group who IMHO think ‘too little’ on it too.
The first question from them is, “Why would President Biden want to destroy America?”. That seems a harsh claim on its surface which most people don’t even want to consider. The better question would be, “Why isn’t he virtuously and vigorously protecting our country?”.
There’s no A to B single commitment to destroy America by President Biden. We need to examine the BIG picture. (Something I’ve decided that many people are incapable of ‘seeing’.) The most powerful and richest people greatly influencing our current destruction are motivated by an interest in eliminating the entire Western World (globalists). Marxists, Anarchists, and Foreign Enemies absolutely enjoy the direction we’re headed in and nudge us covertly toward it using their influence on powerful individuals. But our leadership are just tools in it.
Get real. President Biden isn’t managing one thing. [Let’s get that out of the way.] There are ‘groups’ of people pushing a sweet-sounding agenda who are talking in his ear and writing his words. Some are evilly corrupt, and others are well paid and rewarded for going along- so they’re the highly useful self-serving.
I think that those who can’t imagine that there’s an element in people who default to “what’s best for them” even if it may hurt others, haven’t paid full attention lately. The “greater good” left the building years ago. Lifelong political players are more superficially focused than most ordinary people. Their personal emphasis is on appearances, getting re-elected, and their own status and it’s their whole life. (This is why term limits on political positions are desperately needed.) The system itself corrupts. For those who have no values to begin with, the corrupting effect is nearly immediate. Favors, money, power, and attention were probably their motivation to become politicians in the first place.
We all have heard of “mob psychology”. It usually dilutes the principles of individuals in favor of a group outcome. [Not every individual has principles, either. Those types are extra useful.]
Why would a boardroom of people at Pfizer impose a ‘vaccine’ with real safety issues on the public while withholding warnings?
Why would people who were basically law-abiding rush a border and break into a country?
Why would “mostly peaceful” protestors start vandalizing a city?
Why would the teaching profession implement harmful topics for use on children even when most know better?
It’s a mob mentality that rewards compliance and destroys those who don’t comply. The individuals in each situation can absolve themselves of responsibility and guilt because they feel powerless alone. It really wasn’t ‘up to them’. They can ‘go along’ and get self-serving perks or get destroyed and suffer. Have I mentioned that the virtue of “courage” has also gone the way of “the greater good” and “principles”? The label of “snowflakes” isn’t just about a certain type of person’s sensitive feelings. To be blunt, they are primarily ‘”gutless cowards”. They attack people in groups or from the anonymity of the internet. They tear down inanimate statues for attention. They ask for “safe spaces” and cry and complain about imaginary ‘oppressive forces’ too.
So, why is President Biden purposefully destroying America? He isn’t. The cowardly and unprincipled mobs of influential people are. Unfortunately, many of them currently run our country.

Reena’s Xploration Challenge #277-What Happened to Better Days?
Our challenge was to choose among an assortment of quotes for writing inspiration. I chose the one below.
“There was rarely an obvious branching point in a person’s life. People changed slowly, over time. You didn’t take one step, then find yourself in a completely new location. You first took a little step off the path to avoid some rocks. For a while, you walked alongside the path, but then you wandered out a little way to step on softer soil. Then you stopped paying attention as you drifted farther and farther away. Finally, you found yourself in the wrong city, wondering why the signs on the roadway hadn’t led you better.”
― Brandon Sanderson, The Emperor’s Soul

Guilda turned off the radio and sighed. When, or more importantly how, had the World gotten turned upside down?
Was she just too old to understand what progress looked like? Were her childhood memories tainted by innocence?
She closed her eyes and rocked with her hands in her lap. It felt like a curse that she remembered going straight home from school where her mother was waiting with a snack and then quickly changing out of school clothes to play clothes. She always did her homework first thing then ran outdoors to play until called for supper.
Her neighborhood had at least a dozen kids who did the same. Bicycles zoomed and games of ‘Kick the Can’ sprung up on every sunny day. Nobody worried about what they wore or being liked or lonely. If she wanted a cool drink, her neighbors- every single one of them- had an adult at home who would oblige her. Dogs roamed freely and never needed to go to the vet. And no one felt the need to lock their doors, ever.
The drift away from what seemed an ideal time period had happened slowly. Families started having fewer children. Mothers needed to work away from home, babies were sent daily to day care centers, and never-before-heard-of ailments and cancers started killing dogs who routinely had often lived to 19 or 20 years old. Step by step changes came. It didn’t feel much like progress to Guilda, though.
Then she pondered if anyone could have magically changed the course that had led to this present. If she had had a crystal ball, which things would she have kept and which she would have left alone? There had seemed a clearly marked path forward, once upon a time… grow up, finish school, get married, raise children, etc., but now? No wonder people say that they feel lost, lonely, and purposeless today. All former paths have become enveloped in fogs. The fogs have names too, “Nihilism”, “Self-Centeredness”, and “Greed”.
She wasn’t eager to leave this world but wondered if, perhaps, it would be for the better for her to fade away just like those better times. People can’t miss things that they never have known were possible and she would no longer have moments of regret that those former days are forever gone.

Reena’s Xploration Challenge #264- A Story of Arrogance Sponsored by Greed
Reena asks us a question this week:
Janus is the god of beginnings, gates, transitions, time, duality, doorways, passages, frames, and endings. He is usually depicted as having two faces. The month of January is named for Janus.
Source: Wikipedia
We counted backwards at midnight on 31st December 2022.
How should we go forward now? I need to know how many months, weeks, days I have to make my life or this world a better place to survive. I may not die at the end of this year, nor will the world end. But it will be criminal to lose time.
Or do you prefer going with the flow, and letting life unfold on its own?
I would love to see your take on this.
A Story of Arrogance Sponsored by Greed

Shelly was excited to get busy!
Her major in Earth Sciences had prepared her for a career in meteorology but her university experience had given her an unrequested minor in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
She was determined to make a BIG impact and “save the world”!
Immediately Shelly was inducted into a graduate program with a mission to ‘solve’ Climate Change. It was well funded by the U.S. government so Shelly knew her scientific energy wouldn’t have any barriers. She began at once.
The weather was after all primarily influenced by the winds, so she decided to chart all incidences of the doldrums-which was a name for the stagnating occurrence of a ‘pause’ in the flow of ocean winds. She felt that increases in that ‘pausing’ of wind currents was a crucial clue that could lead her to making an impactful discovery thus solving the Climate Change Crisis and saving the whole world.
Having spent the first morning in an induction mandatory “equity” training, she couldn’t wait to jump into her research!
But like an electric shock, her training’s ‘philosophy’ abruptly bumped up against her ‘scientific expertise’ and she almost lost her balance as she sank into a chair.
On one hand, she was supposed to make mankind ‘healthier’ by diligently working to produce equal human outcomes, but her wind flow studies clearly indicated that unequal forces were the basis for the wind which maintained nearly all of the Earth’s health.
Shelly felt numb but continued to examine that paradox. Was the DEI movement a cloaked, contradictory, cause with hidden motives? Why hadn’t she noticed that?!
Shelly paced while talking to herself.
“Diversity and equity can’t even occupy the same space much less the same cause! Either the mission is to embrace ‘differences’, or it’s seeking to produce ‘sameness’, it can’t possibly do both. Sameness is a ‘death sentence’ in Nature. I’m not sure human ‘sameness’ would automatically be good for the World.”
When she brought her confusion to the also well-funded DEI unit assigned to her program, she was told to never, ever, express her questions and concerns to anyone. The reason they bluntly PRIVATELY offered was, “We will most certainly lose our funding and YOU will lose your job!”
Shelly knew it would be “criminal to lose time in her pursuit of ‘saving the world’ ” but it now was crystal clear that that egotistical super-human activity shouldn’t have ever been her focus.
Feeling foolish and embarrassed, she handed in her job resignation the next day and decided to run for public office where she could have a better chance of saving her own community (perhaps her country) from being bamboozled into wasting valuable monetary resources on ‘pie in the sky’ goals. An arrogant human element was more immediately endangering everyone than Climate Change, and its name was GREED.

FOWC -WHOLE- Dear 2022… Better days ahead.
My whole life I respected authority.
Of course, the teen years meant I resented authority too, but the overall trust in my elders was strong.
Then, I raised a family. As I aged, I realized that elders, doctors, and experts were not perfect. They don’t actually know everything, but I was cautiously confident that they all were dedicated to the best possible outcome. Hey… life’s dangerous and a personally complex journey.
Then, I became an elder. It was humbling to realize that the ‘truth’ was hard to ‘nail down’ and that the state of ‘perfect’ didn’t actually exist.
Enter 2020.
An unknown ‘novel’ virus threatened us all. Experts step forward to reassure us. Media offered us information and statistics. We were going to ‘work this one out’ together.
THEN things started to smell suspicious.
Mistakes were bound to be made. We were taken by surprise, after all!
BUT they weren’t being admitted nor were they corrected.
This was not a ‘novel’ virus but a version of other viruses we knew.
The handling of this pandemic was the only novel part!
Soon, the media numbers were exposed as arbitrary… and later it was clear they were manipulated.
We weren’t protecting the vulnerable and we weren’t taking swift action in early treatments.
Governors assumed extreme powers never citing clear scientific suggestions.
Then we found out that the Chinese government purposely spread a deadly experiment through the world. Whether it escaped or was released may never be known.
All trust left the building once Big Tech, our federal government, and our health agencies spoke in unison, telling us their ‘facts’ (never backed with scientific studies) and censoring ‘misinformation’ (which was any contrary commenting). This was science, right? Scientific research is an ongoing diverse questioning not a conclusion.
World famous scientists and hands-on doctors were being silenced. They wanted to focus on therapeutics because they wanted to save lives. They had data to share and ideas!
Ultimately, most people were never offered treatment but were asked to come to the hospital once they were dying!
Hospitals were paid large incentives to label hospitalizations and deaths with Covid-19.
The FDA gets 45% of its funding from vaccines. They pushed vaccines… only vaccines.
Big powerful companies (with lobbyists) were allowed to flourish while small businesses were sentenced to ‘die’. Churches (with specific Constitutional protections) were militantly closed, while liquor stores, lotteries, and large chain stores remained open.
And people kept dying… kids were kept out of school, our economy ground to a halt, and our Southern Borders were sprung wide open. (Covid-19, Fentanyl, terrorists, and criminals uncounted)
No longer was there any hope that the ‘best outcome’ was even a consideration.
Our health wasn’t the highest concern.
Our well-being wasn’t important.
Our children’s futures were cast aside. (The added debt will be only a part of their future struggles)
Our compliance was the only goal. Power and greed prevailed.
Fear, blind trust, and ignorance worked wonders.
Dear 2022,
Trust may be gone but,
Fear is waning and
Our eyes are open.
We’ll work this one out, together.
Better days ahead…
My Hero
Daily Prompt: Heroic
When I was five years old, Zorro (portrayed by Guy Williams) was my hero. He was a “righter”of injustices and defender of the weak.
I chose to write on this topic because I felt, Zorro, might be a controversial choice of a modern 5-year-old.
Primarily, the complaints would come from those who dislike the idea of violent images offered to our kids. Parents cringe about “armed” heroes, yet, I believe they are missing the message and ought to consider the moral fiber of fictional (and real life heroes ) with, as much, immediate concern. My former blog post “The Blind Eye”, was about apathy and fear in the face of trouble. This topic seems a fitting continuation of my point.
My heart still quickens at the thought of “Zorro to the rescue” and I really have no memory of him ever hurting anyone. He may have…but, my 5-year-old self certainly did not internalize the violence at all. What I remember most is that people “with power” can be good or evil and the good one’s are heroic only when they take action and risks. Zorro was also labeled a “public enemy” by those “evil” powerful folks who feared his interference in their corrupt and greedy agendas.
I believe that the pen is truly “mightier than the sword” and Zorro, if transported to 2014, would probably be a political blogger. A mighty dashing one, at that! lol
More than any time, ever before, there are medias that allow us to “take a stand” and to expose corruption. Fear of labels, cannot hold the bravest of us back, either. Touche’!

Survival: A Balancing Act
The Olympics made me consider the age old formula of having balance in our lives. Even our food choices are best when there is balance. The Olympians were outstanding! Yet, I always wonder about their “inner” health when I realize how much of their existence is focused upon a few days, sometimes seconds, of time.
So, I created a chart of what, I believe, is true of life for human beings. As I was creating the chart, I couldn’t help but think of examples of extremes. As for Olympians, they are dedicated people who make sacrifices that I do not understand but who make me endlessly proud.
First, and foremost, our need is for survival. Whatever we do, survival comes first because everything else simply counts upon it.
There is wealth. I define wealth as anything tangible in excess of what we need to just survive. We all want comforts and wealth is not a bad thing at all. Wealth makes for prosperity and, often, longevity. You may call wealth, “comforts and currency”. Greed is at the center of those who lopsidedly surround themselves in wealth but no one should be ashamed of pursuing wealth. Wealth inspires innovation and progress which, most often, benefit humankind. We can easily name world leaders and professionals who specialize entirely in the pursuit of wealth and they are, in my mind, detrimental to us all.
There is discovery. It could be subtitled adventure. Ah, what would science be without the hunger to discover. Many of our forefathers came to this country from the need to discover. And we continue to question and learn everyday of our lives from the engrained human impulse for discovery. The Olympians fall primarily into the “overindulging in discovery” crowd. Their mission is to discover the limits of the human body and to test its endurance. Although many of them become wealthy, I believe that their excessive commitment belongs to a zeal for personal discovery. On the down side, scientists who ignore the ethics of scientific study are guilty of placing way too many “eggs” in the discovery “basket” and are my example of a dangerous group. I think arrogance is their primary motivation but greed also plays a role.
Finally, there is enlightenment. Religion and philosophy are the tools in this search for answers. Most often religion and philosophy are at the center of what separates us from our id of savagery. Generosity, forgiveness, and introspect all come from our search for enlightenment. When enlightenment outweighs the two previously mentioned needs, we have the jihad. Holy wars even misplace the human need to survive. Suicide bombers seem the best current example of the danger to humankind from weighing too heavily upon enlightenment.
So balance is still the key to the “good life”, and in my estimation, the spread of imbalance is a direct danger to our survival.
What’s eating me up?
It is very upsetting to me that I have lost so much faith in law makers, police officers and our courts.
Am I a victim of propaganda or a person who knows a corrupt reality?
I realize that our current media is much more efficient in showing and interested in the “bad” things that happen. Bad stuff has always gone on.
Greed will never be erased. Injustices make justice more precious.
Where can a person go to find answers rather than more questions?
I love our country deeply. Yes, our Star Spangled Banner gives me goosebumps. From where I sit, money or the lack of it, decides justice in our courts more often than values. The courts are deciding legislative matters, the people vote on referendums and are ignored. The rules for police officers and “big shots” are not the same as for the greater majority.
I do not think we should accept arguments about race or national origin. The REAL deal is about wealth and the power which comes from it.
I’m tired of the blame game. Tired of the every thing “has to be fair” argument. Mostly, the mistrust I have in our government is wearing me out. It is changing me…I want to believe in the goodness of folks. I want to believe that voters have intelligent arguments and reasons for their votes. I want to believe that our media hasn’t an agenda of its own.
BUT I DON’T.
Please convince me that I have nothing to fear.
