Unanswered Question: When will ‘doing nothing’ become a viable choice again?

The destructiveness of human hubris seems to be ramping up. Have we learned nothing from the whole Covid-19 reaction by ‘experts’?
I don’t think many have.

I could create a long, detailed, timeline of my own thoughts on the last 3 years but I’ll spare you. Here’s my Reader’s Digest condensed version:
I found the 2020 expansion of the two week “slow the curve” shutdown experiment disturbingly authoritarian.
I had a sound basic understanding of viruses and our immune systems from high school biology.
I researched what was being called “disinformation” and found it credible.
I refused the experimental “vaccine” and chose to not comply with masking, 6-foot distancing, and excessive hand washing, as much as possible.
Never got Covid, and since, haven’t gotten sick with any other virus.
(All while ignoring nasty labeling, condescending treatment, and discriminating vilification.)

This morning, a grocery clerk was complaining about how she and her husband have been almost constantly sick this year. The customer ahead of me claimed she’s a nurse practitioner and said she’s never seen so much illness. I chimed in, “It’s because of the shutdown, you know. ” That nurse answered, “I have no doubt about that either.”
(If that clerk has had the “vaccine” and boosters, there’s also a growing ‘scientific’ suspicion that the “vaccine” itself may be interfering with the ordinary efficiency of immune systems too.)
Doing ‘nothing’ ended up being the best choice for me. Trusting Nature, and not interfering with it, often is our best bet.

After the Valdez Oil Spill, many years ago, scientists rushed in with fancy manmade ‘cleansers’ hoping to expedite the natural healing of the environment. A year later, under a too often seen headline “Scientists Baffled”, it had been discovered that areas “left alone” recovered more quickly than those they had ‘helped’. News flash: Nature knows best.

My last point comes from a post I read and responded to this morning. Our ‘stream of consciousness’ prompt was “wild animals” for today. Within the post, the writer had marveled how she had watched some wild seals scuffle, make a lot of noise, and flamboyantly assault each other, only to calmly end up sleeping beside each other. The writer went on to suggest “humans should learn how to get-along that way.”
I’ll just post my succinct comment on her post:
“A comical view of Nature. Thanks for sharing!
On the topic of ‘mixing it up’, resolving differences, and then slumbering like a seal, I agree!
IMHO…the current human over-sensitivity to “bullying”, has created unnatural interference by adults in ‘natural’ skirmishes among children. The ubiquitous claiming of ‘zero tolerance’ for” name-calling”, “shoving” or even “emotionally charged disagreement” has contributed to the uptick in unhinged viciousness among adolescents. By not allowing youngsters to learn how to resolve conflict on their own while small, they are becoming dangerous ‘powder kegs’ later on.”

I really want to know, “When will ‘doing nothing’ become a viable choice again?”
Human beings think they “know” so much that IMHO their arrogance of presuming they can direct, interfere with, and “save”, the natural world, is alarmingly dangerous to our survival.

The Sunday Whirl #589- I See Your Outrage, Here’s Mine.

I See Your Outrage, Here’s Mine

Watch me all you want!”

Jamuh shouted at his neighbors as they each stood staring at him from behind glass. Someone had already reported him twice!

The 4th Covid lockdown had turned almost all usually rational, friendly, people into danger averse cowards. Jamuh was having none of this nonsense. All he could do was challenge the gathering mentality of “sheep” and disrupt their mass insanity.

“I suppose me walking alone outdoors upsets your silly sense of safety! Do you see a murder being committed or a victim you hope will die?!”

Jamuh had been suddenly cut off from traveling, dining out, and going to work only because his instincts had told him that the “shot” was going to be ineffective and possibly dangerous. Hadn’t anyone learned from the past?

“YOU KNOW WHAT’S DANGEROUS?! FOOLS WHO THINK THEY CAN TELL OTHERS WHAT TO DO!”

As he stomped round the corner, his flesh crawled. He thought no one could craft a better tactic for implementing government totalitarianism than this virus even if he worked directly for the CCP.

He’d never told anyone else what to do yet he was supposed to be some kind of criminal?

“One day they’ll find out how they’ve been used as enforcers for the state…as guinea pigs… and as agents of their own destruction.”

As he made the circle toward home, Jamuh had calmed. He knew no one would hunt him down and apologize for all of this. He’d never ask them to either, as long as they all learned to mind their own business.

{FYI-The name Jamuh means “defiant”.}

Monday Peeve – TV Doctors

I try not to be a ‘complainer’. But I don’t believe complaining is bad as long as it’s not overdone. Paula’s Monday Peeve is always interesting. As my blog’s primary purpose is to serve as a future reference for my granddaughters, I think they ought to get a glimpse of things that ‘get under my skin’. What bothers us is a window into our views and values.

As I was reading Paula’s post, I was listening to TV. There was a popular doctor on talking about the pros and cons of the Covid shot. Fine advice when/if it can be ‘backed up’ with data. BUT there’s no doubt in my mind that much data is being collected with ANY efficiency.

The statements that really irk me are: “You won’t get as sick (as you would have) with Covid-19 if you’ve been vaccinated.” and “You’re less likely to be placed on a ventilator too.” [In medicine, every person’s case has many other variables!]

<WHAT A CROCK>

I have firsthand knowledge about the ‘helter skelter’ data collection on this virus. I personally know people who were ill and never actually ‘tested’ for Covid-19. Nobody to this day knows which variant they had because they weren’t tested, and also, no one used a “How sick are you?” meter, either. Who knows how or if those persons’ situations were reported? I hope you know that nobody is really interested in counting or compiling that kind of data.

So, any claim of “knowledge” by TV doctors, especially when it comes to guessing about what may happen or which variants are raging, is a fairy tale. They don’t even have a clear count on what has happened.

The claim that “you won’t get as sick if…” is pure fiction.

They should stick to warnings that they can back up like: “You won’t be a victim of shark attacks if you don’t swim in the ocean.” or “You’re far less likely to die from fentanyl poisoning if you don’t use medication that hasn’t been prescribed to you.”

The TV fortune telling, in the name of experts and science, ought to stop.

Weekend Writing Prompt #290- Fun at the Company Christmas Party

Fun at the Company Christmas Party

She’d struggle to bring up topics that weren’t deemed ‘political’.
The weather leads to Climate Change.
Shopping leads to Inflation.
Ask about how the kids like school and CRT and Common Core are there.
Don’t dare to sneeze or you’ll get Covid glares.
Even asking if the new grandbaby is a boy or girl, is a quagmire!
Perpetual politics were the tragic “New Normal”.
Silence wasn’t her style, so she bought, and beautifully wrapped, a pocket U.S. Constitution for everyone.
Now for some fun!

FOWC with Fandango- Personal Judgement

Today’s word is “dogged.”

Karen had a big heart and heightened sense of safety having a history of working as a paramedic but her persistence on everyone in her family getting the vaccine became a problem.
Uncle Harry just said, “No way! I’m not putting that experimental crap in my body.”.
Karen thought, what did Uncle Harry know? He drank too much and had dropped out of high school. He had no medical training!
But he wasn’t the only one who refused.
Her little sister, who had had a bad bout with Covid-19 was also refusing. She had also vowed not to vaccinate her kids.
How could her family be SO blind?! They were “anti-vaxxers”! The new second class, reckless, deplorable citizens.
Karen’s sister had voted for Biden. She had to have some good sense. And, she had a college degree too. Karen was livid! Her family wasn’t reflecting well on her, and her inner circle of friends were raising their eyebrows.
Karen’s dogged evangelizing was driving a wedge between family members but, she knew best!
Soon, all she did was send them CNN articles and NPR statements of FACT.
It was ‘fact’ in her circles, anyway. She had no time for alternative views. Gosh! She was the trained paramedic, and this was an emergency.
Then, cases of the vaccinated (and boosted) started intermittently rolling through the emergency room. More adverse reactions, to the vaccine, started ‘leaking out’ and showing up. When she looked further, she realized that the scientific data available was sporadic and incomplete.
Karen suddenly reexamined her position.
Her family had, thankfully, not lost anyone. They had all (at least initially) been frightened. Covid-19 had been a tragic, and evil, imposition on them all by a foreign country, not each other. The vaccines were a calculated personal risk, just like the virus. There was a non-transparent authoritarian attitude among the most visible scientists, for some reason. And the measures taken to combat the virus had been extreme while the interest in finding treatments was almost non-existent.
Happily, her family held no grudge when she relaxed her judgement of them … because they knew Karen, after all, had a big heart and a heightened sense of safety.

FOWC

FOWC -WHOLE- Dear 2022… Better days ahead.

My whole life I respected authority.
Of course, the teen years meant I resented authority too, but the overall trust in my elders was strong.
Then, I raised a family. As I aged, I realized that elders, doctors, and experts were not perfect. They don’t actually know everything, but I was cautiously confident that they all were dedicated to the best possible outcome. Hey… life’s dangerous and a personally complex journey.
Then, I became an elder. It was humbling to realize that the ‘truth’ was hard to ‘nail down’ and that the state of ‘perfect’ didn’t actually exist.
Enter 2020.
An unknown ‘novel’ virus threatened us all. Experts step forward to reassure us. Media offered us information and statistics. We were going to ‘work this one out’ together.
THEN things started to smell suspicious.
Mistakes were bound to be made. We were taken by surprise, after all!
BUT they weren’t being admitted nor were they corrected.
This was not a ‘novel’ virus but a version of other viruses we knew.
The handling of this pandemic was the only novel part!
Soon, the media numbers were exposed as arbitrary… and later it was clear they were manipulated.
We weren’t protecting the vulnerable and we weren’t taking swift action in early treatments.
Governors assumed extreme powers never citing clear scientific suggestions.
Then we found out that the Chinese government purposely spread a deadly experiment through the world. Whether it escaped or was released may never be known.
All trust left the building once Big Tech, our federal government, and our health agencies spoke in unison, telling us their ‘facts’ (never backed with scientific studies) and censoring ‘misinformation’ (which was any contrary commenting). This was science, right? Scientific research is an ongoing diverse questioning not a conclusion.
World famous scientists and hands-on doctors were being silenced. They wanted to focus on therapeutics because they wanted to save lives. They had data to share and ideas!
Ultimately, most people were never offered treatment but were asked to come to the hospital once they were dying!
Hospitals were paid large incentives to label hospitalizations and deaths with Covid-19.
The FDA gets 45% of its funding from vaccines. They pushed vaccines… only vaccines.
Big powerful companies (with lobbyists) were allowed to flourish while small businesses were sentenced to ‘die’. Churches (with specific Constitutional protections) were militantly closed, while liquor stores, lotteries, and large chain stores remained open.
And people kept dying… kids were kept out of school, our economy ground to a halt, and our Southern Borders were sprung wide open. (Covid-19, Fentanyl, terrorists, and criminals uncounted)
No longer was there any hope that the ‘best outcome’ was even a consideration.
Our health wasn’t the highest concern.
Our well-being wasn’t important.
Our children’s futures were cast aside. (The added debt will be only a part of their future struggles)
Our compliance was the only goal. Power and greed prevailed.
Fear, blind trust, and ignorance worked wonders.

Dear 2022,
Trust may be gone but,
Fear is waning and
Our eyes are open.
We’ll work this one out, together.
Better days ahead…

Mixed Messages and Outrage

See the source image

The din of cable TV news is playing in the background. Covid-19 is almost universally the topic. What chosen scientists say… what the CDC says… what the government says… what the Chinese report… what doctors on the ‘front lines’ have learned… what elite, self important, people advise… yadda, yadda, yadda.
Do any of them agree on anything? Not from what I hear.
Do any of them have the same understanding? No two reports are similar.
Do all or any of them have public health and safety their common PRIMARY concern? I can’t even tell.
In between, what are called ‘news reports’, there are TV ‘talking heads’ who propose that THEY have the ‘facts’ and know what everyone should do, and precisely who is to blame, for a public non-unified acceptance of (constantly changing) guidelines. These people aren’t helping a thing with their indignant (IMO pretend) outrage.
We aren’t allowed to question or seek diverse expert level opinions?
Big Tech fact checkers (Likely groups with no medical training and under 35 years old.) want us to believe them implicitly?
Political sheep expect us to cower and bend to their opinions on the ‘opinions’ they LIKE just because they claim an imaginary moral high ground? (Um… go jump in a lake you guys.)
This is madness.
All I can say is do your best to protect your families, keep your ears and eyes open for ‘truth’, and ultimately, trust your instincts.
Unified transparent leadership, willing to say that they’re ‘not sure’, isn’t available so we’re on our own folks.
God Bless.
