The first song that came to my mind was one of the earliest ones my mother taught to me. When I attached it to this post, I realized I was only 3 years old when this song debuted in a movie.
When I consider the messages imposed on kids currently, I’m disgusted and saddened.
There was a TV show during my early years that Mom wouldn’t allow me to watch. It was the Loretta Young Theater. I googled it and found it went by The Loretta Young Show. It must have dealt with ‘adult’ topics. (I’ll bet it was mild compared to what’s on in prime time now!) Once upon a time, kids were allowed to keep their innocence and parents knew there were topics that they couldn’t/shouldn’t be allowed to know about. Thanks, Mom!
I’m pleased about this prompt reminding me to teach this happy song to my granddaughters.

Oh yes, I remember that song! Very good one.
I also remember I did watch the Loretta Young show. Also the Ann Southern show. I guess I just thought they were glamorous. haha 🙂
