Ronovan Writes SIJO Wednesday- An Onerous Fog

You should use the word in the title of this post as your inspiration as either a theme of the Sijo or in the poem itself.

There are:

  • Three Lines
  • 14-16 syllables per line
  • A total of 44-46 syllables for the entire poem.

Today’s word is “please”.

Gossip, rumors, and speculations waste our precious time.
Angst created by superficial concerns overwhelms Truth,
and obscures it with an onerous fog. Please, burden me not.

I love a well told story. If it makes me laugh, all the better.

  1. Your Sijo encapsulates the futility of idle chatter and the importance of focusing on the truth. We should not let ourselves be weighed down by baseless rumors and speculations that distract us from what truly matters. Let us strive to filter out the noise and seek clarity in our thoughts and actions. Thank you for this insightful reflection. 👍👏👌😊
