Reena’s Xploration Challenge #269- Indecent Exposure

Today’s theme is Sarcasm.

There’s no doubt that sarcasm takes ‘wit’,
And it’s not at all troubling to me.
There’s wry humor in my use of it.
There’s no doubt that sarcasm takes ‘wit’.
Ah, there are those who don’t like it one bit!
Their hearts are more decent, you see.
There’s no doubt that sarcasm takes ‘wit’,
And it’s not at all troubling to me.

  1. Yes, it takes wit. That’s the problem, isn’t it? People claim sarcasm, but they don’t have the wit to pull it off, so they’re just rude for no reason, and claim it’s sarcasm. It takes wit, and should be stitched on pillows for the majority of people that think they’re sarcastic

    1. Rude people exist in many forms, I’m afraid. What they claim is their problem and has nothing to do with the validity of sarcasm. After all, many people claim many things… they aren’t the ones who define us unless we allow it. 😉 Thanks a lot for your thoughtful comment.

      1. Oh, I know. But they’re the reason sarcasm gets a bad rap. The truth is that sarcasm is exquisite in its jabby truth and I love someone who is good at it lol

  2. Sarcasm is one of the forms of satire. My favorite satire is “A Modest Proposal” by Jonathan Swift.

Satire is a expression of ridicule. Is ridicule deserved? Sometimes.

      1. When the FBI and other government agencies appoint themselves to be ‘decency’ mobs, self-appointed ‘decency’ mobs can be a problem.
