Here’s what to do:
*Write a poem (in any form) in response to the challenge: to pick three or more words from the spice list above to use in your poem.

On a paprika and saffron sky
Subdued by vanilla clouds
We bid the zest of day good-bye
On a paprika and saffron sky.
Time to savor a lush lullaby
Dispersed are imposing crowds
On a paprika and saffron sky
Subdued by vanilla clouds.

Nicely done, Susan! I love the phrase ‘the zest of day’ and yes, I have often bidden it goodbye. Great use of repetition.
I’m enjoying using the triolet form. This was my second attempt. Thank-you!
Lovely triolet, Susan. Such beautiful descriptions–and is that your photo?
“zest of day” stood out for me, too. Thank you for joining in!

Thank-you, Rob. 😁
This is a lovely form … and a beautiful way to use it!
Thank-you! It was my second triolet and I really like that form. It’s going to be one I use more often!😊
The imagery of a “paprika and saffron sky” deserved repeating in this pretty triolet but it was this line that made me pause…..”Time to savor a lush lullaby” . Sometimes it just is.
I’m pleased with your comment and how my poem was received.
You’ve made my own appreciation of it deeper. ❤
