‘We all have a favourite character we write with. How did you meet or create your special character?
Actually, I only recently had a character who was a repeat visitor in my stories.
It interests me that many people get attached to characters. I think that is a beautiful concept.
While participating in the Six Sentence Stories prompt from https://girlieontheedge1.wordpress.com/,
I started a serial story about two kids making their way to the American border alone through cartel territory. The main character, Ernesto, is a twelve-year-old boy with the weight of the world on his shoulders. He’s courageously, and selflessly, protected his sister under dire circumstances. Although I haven’t been able to fully describe him, he’s my current hero. I’m hoping to expand on his adventure/nightmare using the prompt snippets as an outline for a teen novel.
Another great question here from Mason.

Ernesto sounds like a special boy. I see him becoming the lead in quite a powerful story.
You’re right about characters becoming friends. Holly certainly was for me when I needed one most. She’s more special than anyone even those who have been lucky enough to read about her will ever know.
Thank you for joining in with today’s question! I really appreciate it.
You’re very welcome Mason!
