I found Henry pacing in his yard.
“What’s up, Henry?”
“The new neighbors appear to be refugees. I don’t know where they’re from? I don’t know if they like dogs? I don’t know if they speak English? Wonder if they like barbecue? Or, do they play cards? Jackie and I would love new pitch partners.”
“Why not ask them?”
“That’s absurd!”

Love this.
I hope they discover it’s not absurd!
Me too. Everyone is on ‘eggshells’ these days because of political correctness. We should all just be ourselves. How nice that would be!
And that’s really what it’s about, isn’t it? Just being ourselves and allowing other people to be themselves.
❤
The trouble is no one is allowed to be themselves these days, and some people seem to think being themselves means they have to be nasty to other people. We’re in quite a mess! Absurd is a good word for it!
We all need to keep pointing that out. Thanks Iain.
Best to just wait and see.
They could have been playing cards during that awkward waiting. What a shame. 😉
Dear Susan,
If only people would realize that we’re more the same than different. I hope someone makes the first move. Well done.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Heaven forbid one do the neighbourly thing and welcome them… who know what they will discover?
Well done, Susan!
