Friday Fictioneers is hosted by the delightful Rochelle.
There’s a weekly challenge, a standard, and a prompt photo.
The idea, as always, is to write a story of around 100 words based on the picture below.

“What the holly hell?!”
The two teens eyed their restitution assignment.
“All we did was open a fire hydrant to cool off! There must be six floors of stairs here.”
“We have ONLY one gallon of paint. The judge must think we’re magicians!”
Thomas reexamined the directions.
Berkery, off the street, 4 doors down.
“Berkery street alright.”
They rolled up their sleeves and started painting running out mid-way up the second flight.
“Now what?”
As they rested on the stoop a baker waved from his shop across the way.
“Hey! You boys here to paint my stairs?”
“Flippin’ typos!”

Hahaha! Love it! 🙂
Glad to add levity to your day, Iain! 🙂
Berks
Unbelievable! That was a total surprise. For those who don’t know, ‘berks’ is British slang for fools. What a marvelous- accidental- name I chose. Thanks for the enlightenment.
Haha! That was a fun tale. Well done.
Thanks, Mason!
At last, a tale to make me laugh! Excellent Susan.
I’m not called ‘sillyfrog’ for nothing. Thanks!
Good on them–they’ll pay double for their prank 🙂
Justice all around. 🙂 Thank-you!
Oops! Love it!
Thanks! That pleases me.
You laid out something different and fun. Great story.
i feel sorry for the kids for laughing at their misery. 🙂
I know. Hey, we all have days like those. LOL
Two jobs done instead of one. I trust the baker got them some more paint. There is a satisfactory humour in this double whammed justice.
They probably had to give up another day for their restitution. 😉 Thanks!
I bet after this they won’t be pulling any more pranks.
Absolutely. Thanks.
Time to get some more paint. Great deterrent for the next time they are tempted (haha)!
Yep… probably just what they needed! lol Thanks!
Dear Susan,
Expensive typo. LOL. Let this be a lesson to them. 😉 Fun story.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Thank-you Rochelle. Peace.
Hilarious! A memory they won’t forget. They must have come up against a tough judge.
Ha, ha! This is great! Thank you for following my blog. 😉
I’m humbled. Thanks!
Most welcome!
