6 Minute Poem – Retired and Adrift

THIS WRITING CHALLENGE LIMITS US TO 6 MINUTES FOR CREATING PROSE OR A POEM IN REFERENCE TO THE PHOTO.

RETIRED AND ADRIFT

Of all the things I’ve lost,

I find myself misplaced and tossed.

The days and dates are fluid now

Adrift in time and space, but how?

Retired days are rows of clones,

A daily curse of aching bones.

I’m much confused but understand

The heavens are not human planned.

Although I waver ’bout my place,

I’ll wear no doubts upon my face.

  1. Wow, that is a great poem. That only took 6 minutes? I am always in awe when I read someone’s poetry how they came up with words and ideas. I mean, maybe people think the same when they read mine. Thanks for participating!!

Tell me something good...
