RETIRED AND ADRIFT
Of all the things I’ve lost,
I find myself misplaced and tossed.
The days and dates are fluid now
Adrift in time and space, but how?
Retired days are rows of clones,
A daily curse of aching bones.
I’m much confused but understand
The heavens are not human planned.
Although I waver ’bout my place,
I’ll wear no doubts upon my face.

That dog looks a little inebriated! This is a masterful poem for six-minutes work. Really well done.
Thank you! It’s a topic that I’m quite familiar with. LOL
That always helps. I’m a long way from retirement age and adrift myself.
Wow, that is a great poem. That only took 6 minutes? I am always in awe when I read someone’s poetry how they came up with words and ideas. I mean, maybe people think the same when they read mine. Thanks for participating!!
It sometimes just comes out of nowhere. You’re most kind.
