Season of sounds
Without limits
Daylight, endless hours
Searching and seeing
Breathing and being
curious.
A pond is one universe.
Sodden with life
For children
Frogs tell it best
Not needy
Hiding an option
Temporary adoption
Be gentle.
Understanding our existence.
So very easy
In summer
Solitary inspection
Waters and reflection
living.
Beautiful write, Susan. Who but you could find beauty in frogs? I love the summer feel of this one, but then, I love summer.
Thank you Charles…as a kid, I loved summer . Now, except for early morning pond watching, not so much. 😉
I can relate! We were talking about the heat yesterday, and Sherry and I agree, that we love the summer mornings on the deck, but the afternoons are for those who have a pool or live right on the lake. When we lived on Lake Travis, I loved the hot summer days, and waited anxiously for them to arrive. Now, as you say, not so much.
