Squishy Wishes

Squishy Wishes

Squishy wishes are the best.

They give my rubber boots a test.

Ducks are happy, so are clouds.

Puddles on the sidewalk crowds.

Squishy wishes love the Spring.

Dampen almost everything.

Water turns to drizzle rain

So all the greens can grow again.

Squishy wishes fill my heart

When I ride  the grocery cart.

Jumping down can make a splash.

Makes the grown-ups hop and dash.

Squishy wishes do come true.

Splashing done at bath time too.

The only thing ’bout waterfalls.

Suddenly my bathroom calls…

I never got over those squishy wishes. Even my 70 y.o. sister and I occasionally take squishy walks in the falling rain… (*>*)

When I wrote a comment to you on FB, I added “squishy wishes “. I liked the sound of that and wrote this poem. Thanks for commenting!
