Hello
I’m still here
It’s the same me
From last year
I am older
yet I’m not
Just my outside
changed a lot
I still day-dream
I still fish
On the first star
make a wish
Smelling flowers
Christmas eve
telling stories
make-believe
Can you hear me
Here I be
Still the same girl
Yes, it’s me.
I hear you darling, and I feel exactly the same, you have created words from my heart here perfectly..still just us!! What a sweet photo of you when you were 4!! Thanks for sharing this special poem, I loved it 🙂 xx
I thank-you for still “being you” 🙂
sweet…
Wish I could go back in time. I feel the same way. Maybe that’s why I keep writing about how past meets present; I just wish I could find the gap between them in order to scape from the dictatorship of passing time.
Hugs,

So poetic, even in your comment, I’ve made a wonderful find in you.
~Thanks,
Susan
This is a darling poem… and a darling photo of you. And you’re right, it is still you! 🙂
Your poems are always so cheerful and much appreciated for that.
Poem on …
These are glimpses of me, shared with you, created for my granddaughter…hope she feels the same way one day 🙂
Hi Susan,
I can tell it’s you in the photo, you still have that playful grin. I, too like fishing, though I seldom get the chance these days. My boat hasn’t been out of the garage in years.
That photo was in our local newspaper, back in the day.
I was featured as a fishing derby winner. Can still remember the evil looks from the older boys.
I sure SHOWED them! LOL
Thanks Helen,
Wish we had known each other, back in the day. What a longtime friendship it could have been:-)
Beautiful way of expressing your longing and also ready to face the reality ….
And also yes, years may change us outwardly ,but whatever changes others may find in you ,you are you….very interesting..
Thanks for visiting me dear..
Your comment made me smile with the knowledge that you understand 🙂
I am reminded of the phrase, “The more things change, the more they stay the same.” Time is a strange thing–so much changes, yet the same person stands to meet those changes. Sweet poem, beautiful reflection.
It was so very kind of you to stop by and compliment this poem…Thank-You.
~Susan
