Where’s the love?

Saying “I love you” is not just for nerds.

Saying “I love you” requires no words.

My brother gives me a familiar shove.

My grandpa gives me a wink.

My uncle lets me wear his hat.

My mom splashes me from the sink.

My cousin shares his secret thoughts.

My sister shares her bed.

My friend remembers I like licorice,

And my favorite color’s red.

My Dad waves with his pinky to me.

My grandma gives tight hugs.

My dog teases me with a stick.

I find myself some bugs.

The world is not made of only words.

Our actions speak so true.

Come over and let me hold your hand,

Because I love you too.
